This Privacy Policy applies to AZ Lineage Managed Application, published by Global Research Forum on Microsoft Azure Marketplace.
AZ Lineage Managed Application is deployed into the customer’s Azure subscription as an Azure Managed Application. The solution is designed so that customer input files, generated lineage outputs, audit logs, exception logs, run summaries, and operational metadata are stored in Azure resources deployed within the customer-controlled Azure environment.
Personal Information We May Process
Depending on how the customer uses the application, AZ Lineage Managed Application may process limited user, operational, or technical information such as:
- User-provided support contact details
- Azure subscription, tenant, deployment, and resource identifiers
- Operational logs, run identifiers, timestamps, and status information
- Technical files uploaded by the customer for lineage processing
- Generated lineage, audit, exception, suppression, and summary outputs
- Support information voluntarily shared by the customer
The application is intended for technical lineage processing. Customers should not upload personal information unless they are authorized to do so under their own internal policies and applicable laws.
Purpose of Processing
Information is processed only for the following purposes:
- Deploying and operating the managed application
- Processing customer-provided technical files for lineage generation
- Producing lineage outputs, audit logs, exception logs, suppression logs, and run metadata
- Supporting troubleshooting, maintenance, and customer support requests
- Improving operational reliability and audit evidence generation
Data Storage and Customer Control
AZ Lineage Managed Application is not operated as an external SaaS file-upload service for this Marketplace offer.
In the standard managed application deployment, customer input files and generated outputs remain within Azure resources deployed in the customer’s Azure subscription, including Azure Blob Storage, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Service Bus, Azure Container Apps, and related Azure services.
The customer is responsible for managing access to the deployed Azure resources, uploaded files, generated outputs, user permissions, retention settings, and network controls.
AI Processing
Where AI-assisted interpretation is enabled, uploaded file content or extracted technical text may be processed by the configured customer-approved AI endpoint for chunking, lineage extraction, validation, and summarization.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that their selected AI endpoint and configuration comply with their internal privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
Data Sharing
Global Research Forum does not sell users’ personal information.
Customer files and generated lineage outputs are not transferred to Global Research Forum-owned storage as part of the standard managed application deployment.
Global Research Forum may access customer-provided information only when the customer voluntarily shares it for support or grants access for troubleshooting, subject to the customer’s own access controls and support arrangement.
Data may be processed by Microsoft Azure services used in the customer’s deployment. If the customer configures external services, integrations, or AI endpoints, the customer is responsible for ensuring that those configurations comply with their privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
Data Retention
Data generated by AZ Lineage Managed Application is retained in the customer’s deployed Azure resources until the customer deletes it or changes retention settings.
Global Research Forum does not control the customer’s Azure retention policies.
Security
AZ Lineage Managed Application uses Azure-managed services and Managed Identity-based access where applicable.
Customers are responsible for configuring access control, network rules, monitoring, logging, retention, encryption settings, and compliance controls within their Azure environment.
Customers should apply least-privilege access, review generated outputs before regulatory use, and avoid uploading files they are not authorized to process.
